Review the garment
It begins with an inquiry and a close assessment of the garment, so the work can be planned around its condition and structure.
We reshape clothing into pieces that fit better, wear longer, and keep more of what already matters. Every project starts with a careful review of the garment and the desired result.
Alteration Artistry focuses on tailoring, remodelling, and upcycling for garments with history, character, or sentimental value. We work through each piece step by step, checking the fabric, construction, and available material before confirming what can be achieved.
From fit updates to fuller redesigns, our process is built around clear consultation and practical craftsmanship. The goal is to give existing clothing a new purpose while respecting the strengths and limits of the original piece.
Our process is designed to keep the work clear, realistic, and grounded in the fabric in front of us.
It begins with an inquiry and a close assessment of the garment, so the work can be planned around its condition and structure.
We then discuss the redesign, outline the scope, and confirm the concept before any remodelling begins.
After the work is completed, we review the fit or finish again at collection and handle any small agreed adjustments carefully.

Our work combines practical tailoring, thoughtful remodelling, and a focus on making better use of what already exists.
We explain the work before it begins, including what can be adjusted, what the garment can support, and how the final quote is prepared after inspection.
When suitable, we reuse original fabric, thread, trims, and other usable parts to reduce waste and keep the redesign connected to the original piece.
Each garment is handled according to its construction and condition, whether it is a vintage piece, a favourite dress, or a well-worn jacket that needs new life.
We check the result again at collection and share care and pressing notes so the finished garment can be worn and stored with confidence.
